Behold how even a family name was given for this new people. God gave Adam a family to care for and to cherish. Man would not be like God without this capability. God says, I have made you, you are mine. I will cherish you and take care of you. God loves to give good gifts to His children, behold the heavens and study his works in nature. "The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth his handiwork." Psalm 19:1 Every day there is a love letter there from God. My son loves to photograph the heavens, the sunsets, the sunrises and the many cloud formations. As we behold the beauty there we can never do justice to the awesome character of God that we see there. He writes such exquisite messages of celestial glory.
As we contemplate the wonderful works of God and repeat these lessons to our children, we see the power he has to hold the stars in place, it is not too hard for him to orchestrate the whole universe. He is able to teach us that "He rules over His kingdom with diligence and care..." MS 96, 1899 When he first created Adam and Eve it was His original plan that they would grow up in a beautiful garden home. He was their parent and teacher. Their minds were new and filled with only good things. They had the ability to learn and fill their minds every day with wisdom and knowledge from God. Their world was so new to them that everyday they would discover mysteries to explore. God came everyday to spend time with them. He answered questions and showed the wisdom in all He had made for them.
Our God is a parent that wants his children to know him. He knows everything there is to know about us. He cares for us as only He can. We see the beauty of this in the emotional aspect that He created man with. Man was the only creature made with the ability to think through how he felt, and to return love in response to love. "We love because He first loved us."
He gave Adam ruler-ship over the earth. The ability to name the animals, as well as come to the conclusion that He was the only creature without a mate. Adam saw the capability he could have if He had someone like himself to love. In retrospect, he saw the workings of his soul that were created in the image or likeness of God. He was not to be the only one. He was part of a family. He was a part of God's family.
In closing, let me share a quote from one of my favorite authors. "The physical organism of man is under the supervision of God;...Ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." In God we live and more and have our being. Each heart beat, each breath, is the inspiration of Him who breathed into the nostrils of Adam the breath of life-the inspiration of the ever-present God, the Great I Am." RH Now 8, 1898 Do you see how we are His love letter, too? We give a message in everything we do, either for his glory or ? You can help others Behold
