When the little sheep has gone astray,
it breaks my Father's heart to know it went on it's own way,
Jesus leaves the ninety and nine,
one lost sheep to find, so that none would be left behind.
And Jesus said, "What have I done? Have I wearied thee?
You testified against me. What have I done to make you go astray?
I've only chosen what's best for you. What more could I do?
I only wanted to show you a better way."
How could a man turn his back on my Father, who's so kind saying,
"Go away God, get out of my life, I can make it just fine."
Oh, then Jesus weeps from a broken heart for that lamb that's gone astray,
and though He's been hurt, He still loves that lamb: it'll always be that way.
I was that lamb that had gone astray, running from my Lord,
so helpless in every way, but Jesus came so tenderly and
wrapped His arms around me, and what He said to me just
